Laura Collada - Managing Partner
Laura is a lawyer, graduated with honors from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónoma de México (ITAM) and has Specializations in Intellectual Property, Corporate, Civil, Constitutional and Environmental Law from Universidad Panamericana and a Legal Specialization in Contracts from ITAM.
Laura has taught Copyright and Intellectual Property Law at different universities in Mexico City and Veracruz. Mrs. Collada was also a Director of the Sub-office for the Prevention of Unfair Competition at the Mexican Industrial Property Institute (IMPI).
With over 25 years of experience in Intellectual Property, Laura's practice includes the complete lifecycle of Intellectual Property rights, from consultancy to application, to resolving disputes involving these rights. She has also written several articles for a national newspaper on issues related with Intellectual Property and is a speaker at conferences on this subject. Laura has worked at Dumont since 2001 and is currently the Managing Partner. She is an active member of national and international professional organizations, including AMPPI where she is the Chair of the Trade Marks Committee, Mexican Association Bar, INTA, AIPPl; Marques, APLF, ASIPI (national Delegate), AIPLA and PTMG.
