Samir Abdelly

Formal candidate at the 2014 presidential elections in Tunisia, Dr Samir Abdelly is the founder and managing partner of Abdelly & Associates since 1994.

In 2008, he was ranked among 4000 international lawyers with strong expertise in business and corporate law.

He has extensive experience in oil & gas, M&A and private equity transactions, PPP and joint ventures. He has been involved in most of the large-scale projects in Tunisia and North Africa and has advised numerous national and international groups in various sectors particularly natural resources, banking and finance, insurance & reinsurance, telecommunications and IT, and real estate.

Currently a lawyer at the Supreme Court of Tunis, he was admitted to the Tunisian Bar Association in 1994. Samir has studied at the Law University of Tunis and France.

Samir is member of many international and local associations such as the International Association of Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN), International Association for Judicial Methodology, the Arabic Association for Young Lawyers, the Tunisian Centre for Conciliation and Arbitration and the “Camera Arbitrale Nazionale e Internazionale Di Milano”.

He is a speaker in many local and international conferences and author of numerous publications and articles dealing with Oil & Gas, PPP and M&A issues in Tunisia and North Africa.

Samir is an Arabic native speaker and is fluent in English, French and Italian.
