Ahmed Rahmi joined Al Salam Advocates in 2013. He obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from Faculty of Law English Section, Cairo University in 1999 and obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in International Dispute Resolution from Queen Mary University of London in 2009.
Prior to joining Al Salam Advocates, Ahmed was the deputy general counsel of Gulf Air. Prior to that, he had been working in the Kingdom of Bahrain with Haya Rashed Al Khalifa Attorneys at Law and Legal Consultants as senior legal counsel and with Gulf Finance House as a legal manager.
Ahmed has a broad legal background with more than 15 years of experience in commercial transactions and litigation. He has a combined experience of in-house and law firm practice working with a wide variety of business organisations. Ahmed possesses strong written and verbal skills, combined with excellent research abilities. He places a high premium on providing pre-emptive legal support in both Arabic and English.
Ahmed has extensive experience in corporate and commercial law; Islamic banking and finance; international and domestic commercial arbitration; international dispute resolution; CBB law; labour and employment law; telecommunication law; aviation law; and administrative law.
He has successfully prosecuted several cases through settlement, litigation and/ or ADR. He is a corporate contracts specialist and has managed staff and budget.
