Abdulla Farouk Luqman

A Yemeni lawyer, Abdulla has considerable international experience having worked in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom and Yemen. Abdulla holds three degrees from the UK.
 
He started his career with Unilever Arabia Group of Companies in the GCC in 1993 and then changed his career to law.  In 1998, he obtained his LLB from the UK.  He trained with Richards Butler International Law Firm in London and then joined Al Tamimi & Company Law Firm in Dubai as a Legal Consultant. In 2004, he partnered with Al Suwaidi & Company in the UAE to form Luqman Legal in Yemen which is currently ranked as the top law firm in Yemen.
 
He specialises in corporate and commercial law, real estate, oil & gas, maritime and arbitration with special focus on Islamic finance and international commercial agreements. His main clients include BP, IFC, Oxy, P & I Clubs and a large number of international law firms; in addition to a number of government ministries and organisations.
 
He is the Yemen exclusive member of the Employment law alliance and is continuously ranked in Band 1 of Chambers and Partners.
