John is the partner in charge of the litigation and arbitration department of the firm. John is the firm’s litigator and undertakes all high level High Court and Court of Appeal litigation and appearances.

John has considerable experience in commercial and construction related arbitrations particularly involving FIDIC and JBCC forms of contract; mediation and settlement of disputes, Industrial Court litigation and appearances.

John is ranked in band 1 in Chambers, The World’s Leading Lawyers. Chambers note: “John Carr-Hartley is known for his litigation skills.
