Erich Baier

Mr. Erich Baier was born in 1956 in Vienna, Austria and is owner and CEO of Bilanz-Data Wirtschaftstreuhand GmbH, a tax-law firm in Vienna, which concentrates on domestic as well as international tax-planning and furthermore renders full corporate services to clients.

Mr. Baier is member of various international organisations like the IBA and the International Association of Lawyers, the European-American Tax Institute in Europe and is member of the Global Advisory Board of the Asian Offshore Association and was accepted as a member of STEP.

Mr. Baier has given lectures at the University of Economics and Business Administration in Vienna on international taxation and contributed to a book, published 1995 in Austria, dealing with the fiscal aspects of M & A, seen from the domestic and international point of view.

Mr. Baier contributed to a loose-leaf series on inheritance tax planning, published by Kluwer International and a loose-leaf series on International Succession Laws published by Tolleys. Furthermore he contributed to a loose-leaf series about Taxation of International Sportsmen published by Nolot BV.

Mr. Baier is member of the board of a large number of Austrian private foundations and has gained significant practice in this field of business.

International tax law practiced by Mr. Baier for more than 25 years is another major field of business of his tax law offices.

Mr. Baier also contributed to the book “International Tax Systems and Planning Techniques” published by Roy Saunders and was contributing to “Trusts in Prime Jurisdictions”, explaining the system of the Austrian Private Foundation, published by Globe Law and Business.

He furthermore contributed the Country Report about Austria to “World’s Leading Financial and Trust Centres”, published by Thompson Reuters.

Mr. Baier also serves as a speaker at a large number of international conferences since 1994.
