Chryssafinis & Polyviou LLC was established in 1903 by N.G. Chryssafinis. With an excellent track record spanning over a century, today it is one of the oldest and most prestigious law firms in Cyprus.

Competition Law
The firm’s standing in the field of competition law is unchallenged. Led by managing partner Polyvios G. Polyviou, this team represented a national bank before the CPC during an investigation against the main commercial banks on the island.
In another high-profile case, the team is currently representing a multinational petroleum company with a presence in Cyprus in an ongoing investigation. They have also filed notifications, both for mergers and joint ventures, and obtained unconditional clearance for numerous transactions before the National Competition Authority.
Polyvios G. Polyviou
Polyvios G. Polyviou is the legal adviser of a number of companies and corporations, and has very extensive experience of drafting, of dealing with legislation, of public law, and of consulting and liaising with Government authorities. He has acted, inter alia, for the Government of the Republic of Cyprus both before the Supreme Court of Cyprus as well as before the judicial organs of the Council of Europe in a number of important cases.  He has been acting as legal adviser of Cyprus Airways Ltd. and of the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation for decades and has specialised, inter alia, in broadcasting matters, in respect of which he attends the Sessions of the Legal Committee of the European Broadcasting Union on behalf of the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation.
