Dr. Helen G. Papaconstantinou

Dr Helen Papaconstantinou is the senior partner of the company Dr Helen Papaconstantinou, John Filias & Associates, while she has also been heading the law office of Dr PD Theodorides – Dr HG Papaconstantinou (est. in 1920) since 1986. She graduated from the University of Athens School of Law, where she had a teaching position for a number of years, and she also holds a doctorate from the Free University of Berlin. She is president of the FICPI and AIPPI Greek groups and ExCo member of FICPI and AIPPI. She is also council member of EPI and ECTA, as well as member of INTA, CIPA, ITMA, UNION and AIPLA. She has been recognized as a leading expert in the IP field and has distinguished herself on patent and trademark litigation on behalf of many big companies across several sectors, including pharmaceuticals, the fashion industry, food and beverage, service providers, technology, telecommunications, etc. Under her leadership, in 1996 the firm evolved into two distinct branches in order to better serve its clients. The first branch, which retained the old firm name “DR PD Theodorides - Dr HG Papaconstantinou”, is focusing its activities on trademarks, copyright, competition, anti-trust, anti-piracy/anti-counterfeiting and customs monitoring procedures, licensing, distribution, franchising & contract law, domain names & Internet law, commercial law, trade regulation, consumer protection & advertising law and related consultancy, litigation and ADRP procedures. The other branch, namely the company “Dr Helen Papaconstantinou, John Filias and Associates S.A.”, is focusing its activities on patents, designs, SPCs, utility models and related litigation. The firm's clientele includes a very broad spectrum of national and international companies and legal firms, ranging from individuals to large multinational enterprises and institutions. Moreover, having established an impressive network engaging some of the most important IP attorneys in other European and non-European countries (US, Australia, China, Arab countries, etc), our firm is in the position of operating on the basis of reciprocity.
