Ms. Eustella Fontaine was born in the Commonwealth of Dominica and received her primary and secondary education there and her tertiary education in the United Kingdom. Ms. Fontaine is a graduate of the University of Sheffield where she received her LL.B (Hons.) in 2001 and went on to the University of Nottingham where she received her LL.M in International Human Rights Law. She is a member of Gray's Inn and was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2003.
Ms. Fontaine was admitted to practice in Anguilla in 2004 from where she has been in continuous practice since.
Ms. Fontaine carries on a large and ever increasing caseload of complex cases of both civil and criminal matters. She has also acted as Junior Counsel to senior and eminent Counsel in a large number of complex civil/commercial matters in the High Court of Anguilla, the Court of Appeal of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court and before the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council.
Ms. Fontaine has advised and continues to advise one of the largest private employers on Anguilla in regard to labour, employment and liability issues.
Ms. Fontaine advises clients from North America and Europe in relation to structuring their business affairs in Anguilla and the domiciliation/residency of entities and individuals to Anguilla.
Ms. Fontaine is well versed in Real Estate Matters and Estate Planning.
Ms. Fontaine is a Notary Public for Anguilla.
Ms. Fontaine is a Council Member of the Anguilla Bar Association, a member of the OECS Bar Association and the Family Hope Network as well as being an Honorary Member for Life, of the Rotary Club of Anguilla.
Ms. Fontaine obtained an Associate in Captive Insurance Designation in 2015.
