I.Y. Genesis Advanced Engineering Ltd. - an international engineering firm - was founded by Ilan Refael Azulay, a leading engineer and project manager with vast international engineering experience and project management knowhow.

Ilan Refael Azulay, after working for more than 10 years in developing countries in Africa and South America, founded Genesis to offer multi-disciplinary engineering services due to inexperience and lack of design technologies in these regions.

Ilan Refael Azulay, founder and CEO of Genesis, directed the company into Africa after having begun his professional career as chief engineer and project manager for companies that conducted projects around the world. In 2006, the company he worked for sent him to Africa to manage a series of engineering projects. Following his success as chief engineer and project manager for these projects, a Nigerian business man offered him the position of CTO and engineering manager for a specific project in Nigeria. Upon accepting this offer, Ilan and his family relocated to Nigeria for two and a half years.

In 2009, Ilan Refael Azulay moved back to Israel with his family, where he founded Genesis together with Yaron Azoulay, a practical engineer.

Genesis has since successfully designed and managed numerous engineering projects across Africa and beyond. Presently, Genesis acts as the engineering division for Telemenia Ltd. – an international engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company for power based projects such as power plants, complete substations and power lines construction worldwide.

Genesis also provides private companies and governments with consultancy services for planning and performing international engineering projects.
