Seiichi Yoshikawa

Mr. Seiichi Yoshikawa is a partner at Koga & Partners based in Tokyo. Throughout his career of more than forty years, he has been heavily involved in cases for international dispute resolution, i.e. litigations, arbitrations and mediations. He has represented foreign clients in cases which arose in Japan and Japanese clients in cases abroad. Such cases encompass a broad spectrum of matters, including commercial contracts, competition law, media law, aviation and torts. (In the case of arbitration, he has acted both as counsel and arbitrator.) He has published a number of articles in the field, and also lectured in seminars designed for in-house counsels of major corporations. He is an active member of the Japan Competition Law Forum. He is a graduate of Tokyo University and obtained MCL from the University of Washington Law School. He is a former vice president of the Japan Federation of Bar Associations and a former councillor of the International Bar Association.
