Patric David hold a Master’s degree in IP Law, a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of Dar es Salaam School of Law, a Postgraduate Diploma and bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management from the Open University of Tanzania, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Taxation from the Institute of Tax Administration

Today, Mr David is employed as In-House Legal Manager at SBC Tanzania Limited, a leading Pepsi-franchised company in Tanzania. He also works at Law Exchange Associates as a Founding/Managing Partner.

His expertise spans matters of IP rights, corporate and regulatory, as well as taxation and arbitration, having qualified to practice in Tanzania and Zanzibar. Accordingly, he is enrolled as an advocate of the High Courts of Tanzania and Zanzibar, and is a member of various professional bodies, including the Tanganyika Bar Association, the Zanzibar Law Society, the East African Law Society and the Tanzania Association of Tax Consultants – being further certified by the Ministry of Constitutional & Legal Affairs as private arbitrator. Registered as an agent for African Regional Intellectual Property Organization (ARIPO), he routinely represents trademark and business brand owners on the execution of IP rights through an online filing system covering all ARIPO-designated member states.
