Professional Experience

Prior to establishment of Linkage & Mind Law Firm in 2005, Madina held executive positions in the Legal Department of the Ministry of Finance of RK (2000 - 2003), which included legal support for large-scale projects funded by the Ministry of Finance in cooperation with international financial institutions (EBRD, JIBIC, ADB, IDB):
  
• Reconstruction of the Atyrau refinery
• Kazakhstan Temir Zholy project on upgrading of passenger cars
• Participated in the Qualification Commission for the Certification of Auditors of Kazakhstan
• Was a member of the Board of Directors of Eximbank of Kazakhstan
• Participated in various legislative acts drafting, analysis and reviews

In 2003-2005, Madina worked in the legal department of JSC Development Bank of Kazakhstan where she supervised compliance with banking legal regulations for the set of investment projects implemented in Kazakhstan in agricultural sector, textile industry, woodworking, and some nfrastructure projects. At the same time she served as the advisor to the President of Agromashholding JSC of Corporate Affairs.

In 2008-2009, Madina was an independent director of the Kazakhstan Kagazy, Asia’s largest producer of paper, corrugated board and packaging products.

As a Managing Partner of Linkage & Mind law firm since 2005, Madina advised various investment projects in Kazakhstan with the participation of public, private capital and international financial institutions. Some of her clients were CITIC Construction, SINOPEC Engineering, Kazakhstan Development Bank, Kazakhstan Petrochemical Industries, United Chemical Company, RAIL.ONE, Toshiba Medical Systems Europe, Booz Allen Hamilton, Caspian Group, Myllyn Paras, Sumitomo Corporation, GSK Farma, Fortis Mining, and many others.
