Abdulla Farouk Luqman

Abdulla Luqman is the Managing Partner of Luqman Legal. The firm focuses on providing international quality standards in advocacy and legal consultancy to international clients inside and outside Yemen, in addition to providing advisory service to a number of Government ministries and organisations.

Abdulla has considerable international experience, having worked in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom and Yemen. Abdulla holds three degrees from the UK. He started his career with Unilever Arabia Group of Companies in the GCC in 1993 then changed career to law.  In 1998, he obtained his LLB from the UK, trained with Richards Butler International Law Firm in London and then joined Al Tamimi & Company Law Firm in Dubai as a Legal Consultant. In 2004, he partnered with Al Suwaidi & Company in the UAE to form Luqman Legal in Yemen which is currently ranked as the top law firm there.

He specialises in Corporate and Commercial law, Real Estates, Oil & Gas, Maritime and Arbitration with special focus on Islamic finance and international commercial agreements. His main clients include BP, IFC, Oxy, P & I Clubs and a large number of international law firms; in addition to a number of government ministries and organisations. He is the Yemen exclusive member of the Employment law alliance and continuously ranked in Band 1 of Chambers and Partners.
