Stephan Wagner

Stephan Wagner graduated as Master of Law at the University of Antwerp in 1975 and was admitted to the Antwerp Bar in 1975 until 2008.

He is the senior partner in Mortimer Blake LLC.

Stephan Wagner has practiced law in Antwerp, Belgium, for 33 years from 1975 until 2008 and in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, from 2009 until today.

His work in the firm focuses on international investments and related areas and his key expertise covers international investment law, international commercial contracts, international corporate transactions (joint ventures, mergers & acquisitions), aviation and transportation law, and litigation and arbitration.

Stephan Wagner is the head of the European Desk within the firm, servicing local clients who wish to do business with or make investments in the European Union.

He is an assistant professor at the American University of Central Asia – International and Business Law Department – teaching international commercial arbitration and international investment law and an arbitrator on the panel of arbitrators of the China Maritime Arbitration Commission (Beijing) and of the Center for Dispute Resolution (Cedires) (Brussels), and an arbitrator on the list of arbitrators of the Hong Kong International Arbitration Center.

Stephan Wagner is a member of the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce for Russia and Belarus, the International Franchise Lawyers Association and the Association for International Arbitration.
