Mr Venkatesh’s strengths include:
• Supreme Court & High Court Advocacy: Frequently appears in Special Leave Petitions (SLPs), statutory civil appeals and transfer petitions.
• Regulatory Leadership: Advises state and central electricity commissions on licensing, tariff regime framing, energy sector policy and dispute resolution.
• Thematic Expertise: His practice spans energy, competition and environmental law, as well as arbitration, insolvency and bankruptcy.
• Insolvency & Arbitration: Represents stakeholders – including financial creditors and corporate debtors – before NCLT and the Supreme Court.
• High-Value Client Portfolio: Counsels and represents Tata Power & subsidiaries, Reliance Power & infra entities, Vedanta, Nabha Power, NTPC,
Damodar Valley Corporation, NHPC, National Solar Energy Federation, Association of Power Producers and others.

• CERC – Teesta Low Dam IV tariff review petition (₹21 cr of IEDC), resulting in unit-wise apportionment win (March 2025).
• MERC – Secured critical approval for Tata Power Distribution’s 200 MW medium-term procurement scheme (March 2025).
• CERC – Successfully represented TPREL in a GNA regs petition to allow financial documents from its subsidiary under GNA (January 2025).
• CERC – Represented NTPC and NTPC Renewable Energy (Jan 2025) for CPSU solar tariff adoption under Change in Law.
• APTEL – Assisted Rosa Power in a UPERC truing up appeal invalidating underestimation of IOwC (May 2025).
SKV has further secured victory in tariff procurement and licensing matters for clients including NHPC, NTPC RE, Tata Power and numerous private sector generators.
