Dr. Wolfgang Festl-Wietek, born in 1959, graduated from the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich, Germany, as Attorney at Law in 1987, and received his Ph.D. (Dr. jur.) in 1989. He joined VJP in 1994, after serving for four years as in-house attorney for the Deutsche Bank AG in Munich, Germany, and also as head of the department for commercial and corporate law for the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Munich, Germany. He was representative Chairman of the Mediation Board for Settling Competition Disputes.
Along with Mr. Jentschura and Mr. Bogsch, Dr. Festl-Wietek is responsible for the management of the entire firm. He is highly experienced in the fields of trademark law and corporate law, as well as in business law and law against unfair competition. He also deals with contract preparation, infringement cases and litigation.
Dr. Festl-Wietek is admitted as attorney at law, and is allowed to practice as a European Trademark Attorney, and as a European Design Attorney. He is a Registered German IP Attorney (Fachanwalt für gewerblichen Rechtsschutz) and a committee member of International Trademark Association (INTA)
