Long term and unique history in Greece in the fields of product liability /safety and product recall not only in monitoring closely the European developments but also actually affecting them. The Expert was the head of BGP’s team that prepared for Greece two Reports for the European Commission on the Product Liability Directive (85/374/EEC) in 1994 (by CMS Cameron McKenna) and in 2003 (by Lovells).
European Justice Forum (EJF), the only European non-profit organization solely focused on promoting a balanced system of civil justice in Europe necessarily related to consumer law issues ( www.europeanjusticeforum.org ), being the correspondent in Greece and
DRI EUROPE, the European branch of DRI International, of which the Expert is the Country Chair for Greece ( more for DRI in www.drieurope.org and www.dri.org ).
The long-term specialization in the above specialty area has resulted to the representation by BGP /the Expert of some of the leading businesses in their own fields in cases, being very often of high publicity and special business interests. Very indicatively only, Helios aircraft accident alone has been worldwide admitted as a case study whereas Chinook helicopter accident attracted special publicity in Greece over a number of years. Further, numerous product recalls of top brands have been successfully pursued by the Expert /BGP over the years always requiring a sensitive treatment from time and confidentiality points of view.
