Fabrice Cassin

Fabrice is the managing partner of CGR LEGAL and head of the administrative and public law department of the firm. He specialises in public contracts, local authorities, state regulations and their relations with businesses, commercial equipment regulations, electricity regulations, relations with administrative bodies, and drafting complex contracts relating to the public domain and institutional issues. Among his areas of expertise, Fabrice stands out as a recognised expert in environmental law and renewable energies; in particular wind energy, for which he has become a reference at the European level, and also hydro, photovoltaic and biomass. As a public law practitioner, Fabrice advises businesses on all aspects of their dealings with leading public service delegated companies in the implementation of their project infrastructure (tenders, competitive bidding and so on). He also assists in the implementation of major energy projects for private operators (permits and land acquisition, for example) and project development. Finally, Fabrice also leads major litigation procedures for private operators of all categories, such as major distribution chains and brand names. He obtained a DEA in droit public interne from the University of Paris II in 1991, became a Docteur en droit in 1995 and obtained a Diplom from the Institut de droit public des affaires of the Paris Bar. Fabrice became an independent practitioner in Paris in 1999. He was a former partner of Oppenheimer, Wolff & Donnelly LLP (2002- 2004). He is a member of the Paris Bar, a senior lecturer at the University of Paris XII, a Member of Syndicat des Energies Renouvelables, a Member of the Board of Directors of France Energie Eolienne, President of the Commission "loi et réglementation" of France Energie Eolienne and Vice-President of France Energie Eolienne. He speaks French and English.
