Claudio Coratella was born in Rome in 1971. He qualified to practice before the Supreme Court of Cassation in 2012
After graduating from the University of Rome, Claudio Coratella focused his professional growth on business crime law, providing counseling and court assistance in several key economic and financial criminal proceedings in Italy. He handled many bankruptcy crimes and corruption proceedings, earning a solid experience in these fields.
Claudio Coratella also acquired his expertise at an international level, participating to the meetings of the Preparatory Commission for the establishment of the International Criminal Court, held in New York at the United Nations between 1997 and 2001, dealing with all defense right related issues and the violation of the same.
He was appointed advisor for the Ministry of the Environment and Territory Protection between 2005 and 2010.
He is the author of 8 books on different criminal law issues and more than a hundred articles published on the main national law magazines in Italy; he was appointed as contract professor in different universities in Rome and participated as speaker to more than 60 congresses and conventions.

Coratella – Studio Legale is a law firm which operates specifically in the field of economic and corporate criminal law, providing counseling to both corporate and private clients in economic criminal proceedings before the competent authorities, with specific skills in financial, banking and bankruptcy crime, environmental offences and medical liability.
The firm also provides assistance to those who were victim of crime to claim their rights before the criminal court. Coratella – Studio Legale also operates as company counsel on internal organization and corporate governance, advising the relevant administrative and auditing bodies on their responsibilities and providing assistance on compliance issues, with the aim of preventing the company from committing criminal offences.
The law firm now features many lawyers, each with a specific experience in economic and corporate criminal law, as well as a consolidated network of expert who collaborate with the firm providing technical and/or scientific expertise, for a full and high level service.
The firm organizes every year the annual renowned national congress on corporate liability, which takes place in Rome at the end of February. This event is promoted by many national and international public institutions and counts more than 700 business operators participating each year.
Coratella – Studio Legale won the Global Award as "Economic Crime Law Firm in Italy" in 2014.
