Gabriel Nadal

Gabriel Nadal is Managing Partner of ECIJA in Barcelona and a leading figure behind the firm's recognition as Insolvency Law Firm of the Year in Spain at the 2024 Corporate INTL Global Awards. A specialist in corporate law, mergers and business restructuring, he has become a key adviser on insolvency and restructuring processes at both national and international level, and the award reflects the strength of ECIJA's practice in this demanding field.

Mr Nadal brings more than twenty years of experience advising companies through complex commercial and financial situations. Before joining ECIJA he was one of the founding partners of a prominent firm in the Catalan market, where he led its mergers and acquisitions, commercial law, insolvency and business restructuring work. His practice combines corporate and transactional expertise with a deep command of insolvency, allowing him to guide clients through restructurings, distressed transactions and formal insolvency proceedings with an eye to preserving value wherever possible.

His standing extends well beyond Spain. Mr Nadal is an active member of the International Bar Association and has chaired its Insolvency and Creditors' Rights Committee, a role that places him at the centre of international debate on cross-border insolvency and creditor protection.
