Katrina Wilson

Katrina Wilson is a British national who began advising on Qatari law when she moved to Qatar at the beginning of 2003. She has spoken at several seminars and conferences aimed at foreign companies intending to do business in Qatar, and on real estate. She holds a Business & Finance Law degree. Katrina returned to Hassan Al Khater Law Office in 2013, and was made Managing Partner in 2016. She originally trained with Clyde & Co London and worked as a solicitor in the City of London for a further four years.

Her main practice areas include Commercial (including agency, distribution & franchises); Corporate (including business start-ups & restructuring, incorporations & joint ventures and acquisitions); Employment and Pensions; Property (including property development work, commercial & residential leasing and real estate purchasing); and, Banking (conventional & Islamic).

The firm was established in 1991 by Hassan Al Khater, a registered Qatari advocate holding a Master of Laws degree from the University of Wales. We concentrate on representing corporate clients, both inward investing and locally established companies, which are carrying on business in Qatar. We advise on all aspects of Qatar’s commercial and civil laws. We provide a full range of corporate and commercial legal services to our clients, as well as arbitrations (both in Qatar and abroad) and proceedings before the Civil Court.
