The Mondini Rusconi Food Law Team, coordinated by Giorgio Rusconi, offers out-of-court advice and assistance in litigation with all aspects of food law. Grounded in the principle “from farm to fork,” which has inspired laws in the European Union, our firm works on issues from human consumption to animal feed, from special food to food supplements, from genetically modified products to novel food.
Professionally, Giorgio Rusconi is well-known for his individual work within the food sector. He often speaks in seminars and conferences in Italy and abroad, and he was invited to Harvard Law School in 2013 as a European expert for the Food, Drugs, Cosmetics and Medical Devices Law Course held by Peter Burton Hutt.
Aware of the needs of multinational entities, our team has forged relationships with experts in a variety of countries, and provides assistance with and consultation on Italian, EU, and non-EU markets. Through our standing relationships built over the years with foreign colleagues, in 2007 we helped create FLN – Food Lawyers’ Network Worldwide, now more than 40 members strong and providing assistance in approximately 50 nations. Some network members provide consulting services to government agencies in emerging countries (including the Middle East), offering more in-depth insight into food safety issues and assisting local lawmakers in the implementation of related rules (when they do not yet exist).
