Victoria Holland is a Partner and Head of the Corporate & Commercial team at RIAA Barker Gillette (UK), bringing more than 20 years’ experience advising businesses on a comprehensive range of corporate and commercial matters. She joined the firm in 2020, following senior roles at B P Collins LLP and earlier training and practice at Pinsent Masons LLP.
Victoria works with a diverse portfolio of clients – from multinational corporations and established SMEs to startups and investors – across such sectors as automotive, biotech, property investment, finance and technology. She is known for providing practical, commercially focused advice, tailored to each client’s objectives.
A key focus of Victoria’s practice is M&A. She regularly advises on complex domestic and cross-border transactions, representing both buyers and sellers. Her M&A work includes corporate due diligence, deal structuring, negotiations, regulatory compliance and post-completion integration. Whether managing the sale of a family-owned business or facilitating strategic acquisitions for growth-stage companies, Victoria brings clarity, efficiency and a deep understanding of the commercial drivers behind each deal.
Beyond M&A, her expertise spans corporate restructurings, shareholder arrangements, joint ventures and business startups. She further advises on commercial contracts and corporate finance matters – including refinancing, loan agreements and security arrangements. She often works alongside the firm’s employment and real estate teams to provide clients with a seamless service on multi-faceted transactions.
Victoria holds an LLB with honours from the University of Liverpool, and completed the LPC at the College of Law, London. She was admitted as a solicitor of England and Wales in 1999.
Her work has been recognised by Chambers UK, and clients consistently commend her for being responsive, pragmatic and solutions orientated.
In addition to her client work, Victoria contributes to thought leadership on legal topics affecting businesses – including non-disclosure agreements, commercial terms for SMEs and legal considerations for charity ventures.
