Riza Buditomo

Riza Buditomo is a partner specializing in Trade & Customs at HHP Law Firm, a member firm of Baker & McKenzie International. Riza is entering his 16th year of extensive experience advising clients in corporate commercial and tax & trade matters.

With an educational background of accounting and tax as well as law, his work includes cross border trade issues, export/import, customs, supply chain, food industry, e-commerce, anti-dumping, free trade agreements and other international corporate commercial work including mergers and acquisitions.

He has also been involved in several due diligence projects for acquisitions and mergers, providing various types of legal advice and assisting major clients in a number of high profile transactions, and dealing with government authorities such as the Ministry of Trade, the Customs Office and the Indonesian Investment Coordinating Board (Badan Koordinasi Penanaman Modal/BKPM).

He is also involved in cross-border trade and e-commerce work particularly customs related matters and customs litigation cases. Riza is admitted in the Tax Court of Indonesia as a registered customs attorney.

His work is well regarded in the region and he was named as the Rising Star for International Trade by Expert Guides and listed in Spotlight Table for International Trade by Chambers Asia Pacific 2018-2019, and recently won the Client Choice Lawyer for General Corporate Work, Client Choice by Lexology 2019.
