Hemendra Nagin

Mr. Hemendra Nagin is the senior partner with Sherani & Co.

He obtained his Bachelors of Laws Degree from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand in 1976. In 1977 he was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New Zealand. In 1978 he was admitted to the Supreme Court of Fiji. In 1984 he was admitted to the High Court of Victoria, Australia. He is also a Notary Public in Fiji.

He joined Sherani & Co. in 1978 as an associate Barrister and Solicitor and in 1981 became a partner. From 1980 to 1983 he had also maintained a career as a part-time lecturer at the University of the South Pacific in Commercial Law, Company Law and Taxation.

His areas of practice are Administrative and Constitutional Law, Commercial Law, Conveyancing, Taxation, Contracts, Banking and Finance and Corporate Law.

Mr. Hemendra Nagin has also served as a Board Member of the Housing Authority, a Board Director for the Reserve Bank of Fiji and has been an active participant in the Fiji Chapter of the World League for Freedom and Democracy, serving as the  President for Fiji.

Mr. Hemendra Nagin has been a member of the Fiji Law Society since 1978. He has been a member of the Rotary Club since 1985.

Mr. Hemendra Nagin speaks English, Hindi, Fijian, French and Gujarati.
