Since joining Anderson Mori & Tomotsune in 2002, Hiroto Ando has been engaged in a broad range of corporate matters, including capital markets projects, mergers and acquisitions and corporate restructurings. He focuses in particular on securities offerings in both the international and domestic capital markets, and has a prominent track record of equity offerings, including global share offerings in the US, European and Japanese markets by major financial institutions and large corporations, as well as public offerings of convertible bonds in the Euro market and listings on the Singapore and London Stock Exchanges by various Japan-based global companies. In addition, he has substantial experience with pure debt offerings, including offerings in Japan of samurai bonds and Euro medium term notes issued by issuers based in various jurisdictions.
He graduated from The University of Tokyo (LL.B., 2001), the Legal Training and Research Institute of the Supreme Court of Japan (2002) and Columbia University School of Law (LL.M., 2008). He has also worked overseas with Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, New York, as an international associate (September 2008 - September 2009).
