Michael is a partner and advocate in Collas Crill's dispute resolution department. He specialises in regulatory, insolvency and trust disputes and advises clients on all aspects of their relationships with regulators, clients and competitors. This includes advice relating to initial compliance and licensing matters, through to investigations and litigation of disputes.
In addition to his financial services work, Michael has an interest in corporate insolvency and reconstructions as well as broader corporate and commercial litigation matters.
Prior to joining Collas Crill Michael was a senior lawyer in the Enforcement Division of the Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC). During his seven years at ASIC, predominantly within its Enforcement Directorate, Michael was involved in some of the most significant and high profile enforcement matters handled by ASIC in the areas of financial services, regulatory compliance and corporate insolvency.
