Kilson Kalanda

A successful business leader and entrepreneur, Kilson has been living in South Africa since 1996. He is Managing Director of EMACOP Consulting and co-founder and a Director of Kbonga BEE Verification and Certification Agency in Cape Town. His commitment, enthusiasm and passion for both doing business in Angola and also the BBBEE process is very much evident, as is his entrepreneurship. On the BEE side, Kilson has been invited to be a keynote speaker at a number of BBBEE conferences including the BEE Conference held in Durban and the BEE Conference held by the DTI and the Chambers of Commerce in Cape Town during 2006 and 2007. On the Angolan business side, Kilson was a keynote speaker at the 2nd Annual SA-Angola Trade and Investment Forum held in Johannesburg in July 2007.

Kilson has obtained a national diploma in Business Management as well as a national diploma in Retail Management, both through UNISA, and is currently studying towards a diploma in Advanced Marketing also through UNISA. With plenty of perseverance and will power, he created possibilities out of what might have seemed impossible for many. At the age of 24, Kilson was one of the youngest store managers for a big national retail company. There he won accolades for his enthusiasm, positive results and oriented approach to business.
