Before joining Jia Yuan in 2012, Mr Liu was a partner at Gide Loyrette Nouel A.A.R.P.I..

In the areas of out-bound investment/acquisition, some of Mr Liu’s more influential representative deals in recent years include: Midea Group’s acquisition of KUKA GmbH, a listed German robotics manufacturer; Shenyang Blue Silver’s acquisition of Dürr Group’s ecoclean business, a global market leader in cleaning and surface processing systems for industrial parts; and CECEO Valiant’s acquisition of MP Biomedical LLC, a leading US supplier of life sciences and diagnosis products.

In the area of foreign direct investment/M&A, some of Mr Liu’s more influential representative deals in recent years include: Aisino’s joint venture project with Wincor Nixdorf; Veolia Water’s investment in and acquisition of more than 10 projects in China; and Total’s coal to olefin joint venture project in China.
